Cohan PLLC advises on Federal Tax matters, ERISA, and state insurance law issues relating to these insurance products. We have extensive experience working with issuers to ensure product designs qualify for favorable tax treatment under federal tax laws. We also counsel clients on complex employee benefit plan issues.

Cohan PLLC has experience with the registration of variable life insurance and products under the Securities Act of 1933 and regularly advises clients on a variety of interpretive issues regarding novel life insurance products.

Cohan PLLC also has extensive experience representing insurance companies, their corporate policyholders, and self-insured businesses in defense of a variety of general liability claims.

Chasen Cohan, Esq., possesses FINRA Series 7 (Registered Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform State Representative) licenses (brokercheck.finra.org), state insurance licenses, and State Securities Registrations in Nevada, Missouri, and North Carolina. Mr. Cohan is admitted to practice law before the Nevada Bar, all Nevada State and Federal Courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Mr. Cohan is a Las Vegas native who graduated cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Mr. Cohan attended the University of Texas School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate. During law school, Mr. Cohan served as a clerk for the Office of the Texas Attorney General and a Judicial Extern for United States District Court Judge James R. Nowlin.

Mr. Cohan gives back to his community by serving on the Board of Directors of the nonprofit Olamau Foundation.

Mr. Cohan’s representative clients have included: Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., MGM Grand Resorts International, The Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, American Express, Wells Fargo, and Citibank.
